Falls Creek Alliance (2022-2024)

CLIENT
Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure

Working on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, through our Indigenous Relations Advisory Services, we engaged and consulted with 15 communities along the Trans-Canada Highway corridor, developing strong relationships and ensuring mutual respect and benefit throughout the project. This project was executed through an alliance delivery model, an innovative approach to the delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

As one of the many locations damaged by the November 2021 atmospheric river, key considerations for this project included reinstatement of the 3-lane section of highway, working within an environmentally unstable area, and improving the long-term safety and reliability of this highway for both wildlife and local travel.

We collaborated with a large multi-disciplinary team to overcome various challenges related to the design and construction of temporary and permanent structures, completed environmental and archaeological investigations, and worked through an accelerated timeline over two years to restore safe transportation and local access.
